TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Perhelatan Akbar Musabaqoh Tiwalatil Qur’an (MTQ) Nasional ke-29 kembali digelar Pemerintah setelah Indonesia mulai keluar dari pandemi Covid-19 tahun 2022 ini.
MTQ Nasional kembali diselenggarakan pada 10-19 Oktober 2022 di Kota Banjarmasin.
Menteri Agama Yaqut Cholil Qoumas mengatakan perhelatan MTQ perlu dijadikan akselerator untuk terus melekatkan kehidupan generasi muda dengan Al-Quran.
“Al-Quran memang sepatutnya terus dikenalkan kepada generasi muda, anak-anak bangsa para calon pemimpin sekaligus penerus masa depan, sehingga Al-Quran senantiasa menjadi tradisi dan budaya Nusantara, salah satunya dengan MTQ,” kata Yaqut dalam keterangan tertulisnya, Senin (10/10/2022).
Direktorat Jenderal Bimbingan Masyarakat (Bimas) Islam Kementerian Agama yang ditunjuk sebagai salah satu penyelenggara MTQ tanggal 10-19 Oktober 2022 di Banjarmasin, Kalimantan Selatan, memastikan ribuan kontingen perwakilan daerah ikut berpartisipasi.
“MTQ bukan sekedar menjadi ajang pencarian qori-qoriah dan hafid hafidzah terbaik di negeri ini, akan tetapi perhelatan akbar ini sejatinya adalah salah satu bentuk nyata dari upaya konkrit umat Islam dalam menggali, memaknai esensi, nilai-nilai luhur serta tauladan baik yang terkandung di dalam Al-Quran,” terang Dirjen Bimas Islam Kemenag, Kamaruddin Amin.
